How you can make a difference working with Student PIRGs
Students have the power to reshape our future. For 50 years, the Student PIRGs have organized students to harness that power, by sharing the tools and training it takes to make a difference. We focus on issues that affect everybody, not just students or any other specific group of people. We especially focus on issues that affect the quality of our environment and of our lives. We’ll give you the training you need to organize your campus into a force for positive change. It’s not for everyone. It’s hard work. It’s long hours and low pay. But you’ll be making a huge impact, and helping to shape the future we all want.

Helping students make a difference right now
Right now, PIRG students are working to: convince at least 50 colleges to meet their energy needs with 100% renewable sources; save the bees that pollinate our foods by banning the sale of bee-killing pesticides; and move us closer to zero waste by working to ban single-use foam take-out containers, plastic grocery bags and other plastic junk we can all live without.
